Pitch clear explanations, comparisons, design histories, close readings of a particular object or space, and practical ways to observe visual choices. Topics should suit general readers and remain useful without specialist access, statistics or first-hand testing.

What makes a good pitch

Name the design question, explain why it matters to readers and outline the main point you would make. Tell us what examples you would use and what makes the proposal distinct from familiar design commentary. Disclose relevant commercial interests or relationships.
